Back pain is a widespread issue in the U.S., with a 2022 survey by Statista revealing that 28% of U.S. adults suffer from chronic lower back pain. Nearly one million Americans undergo spine surgery annually to address chronic back and neck pain, according to the Cureus Journal of Medical Science.
Finding the right specialist for these procedures is crucial for improving quality of life. Newsweek and Statista have launched the first annual ranking of America’s Best Spine Surgeons to aid in this process. This ranking evaluates surgeons based on Medicare data, a survey of over 30,000 medical experts, peer quality-of-care ratings, and American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery certifications.
Among the esteemed surgeons on this list is Dr. George Naseef, who is recognized for his outstanding contributions to spine surgery and dedication to patient care.
